The Buddha up Close
Come and see Buddhist art across its history. The exhibition takes place from 3 December 2021 to 24 April 2022 at the Valdstejn riding hall.
Get to know the story of the Buddha up close and learn about one of the most important traditions of thought spread across Asian cultures. The exhibition features masterpieces of Buddhist art, including a unique 15-meter-long Japanese picture scroll from the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries, which you can view online here. The exhibition is organized by National Gallery together with Museum Rietberg Zürich.
